We are looking for a Shop Assistant Cashier to join our team in Rustenburg, North West. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, processing transactions accurately and helping to maintain a clean, organised and welcoming store environment. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service and ensure that customers have a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers in finding suitable products and provide information about products, promotions and current offers. You will accurately process customer purchases at the checkout and handle cash, debit card and credit card payments correctly. You will also assist with daily banking activities and ensure that all transactions are processed accurately. The role will involve answering customer telephone calls and responding to questions or requests in a professional and timely manner. You will also be responsible for keeping customer records accurate and up to date. You will help maintain the appearance of the store by ensuring that shelves are properly stocked, products are displayed neatly and pricing information is correct. You will replenish stock when shelves become empty and assist with receiving and processing deliveries. You will work with the team to ensure deliveries are received and stored correctly using the required equipment and systems. You will also assist with keeping the store clean, organised and ready for business each day. The successful candidate will assist the manager with stock checks and ensure that store equipment is properly maintained, safe and accounted for. You will be expected to follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to preventing stock losses. Relevant experience includes working as a Cashier, Shop Assistant, Store Assistant, Store Associate, Retail Sales Assistant, Retail Salesperson, Sales Assistant, Salesperson, Sales Representative, Sales Consultant, Sales Associate, Sales Agent, Sales Administrator, Sales Advisor or Retail Assistant. Applicants must have good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively in English. You must live within 15 km of the workplace. A clear criminal record is required. You should have good communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work accurately when handling transactions.
