About the Programme
Al Baraka Bank is a SAICA accredited Training Office and offers candidates the opportunity to complete their SAICA training as part of the journey towards becoming a Chartered Accountant CA(SA).
The programme is designed to provide trainees with comprehensive technical and professional training, helping develop them into well rounded accounting professionals.
As a SAICA Trainee Accountant, you will rotate through different areas of the Bank. This will provide you with valuable exposure to different functions within the banking environment and allow you to gain practical experience throughout your training period.
Training and Development
The Bank provides technical and professional training throughout the SAICA training journey.
Exam fees are fully paid by the Bank, while study leave is provided to give trainees time to focus on their academic requirements.
Trainees will also have access to a dedicated SAICA support team and allocated committee that provide coaching and mentoring, academic support and external training.
The rotation structure allows trainees to gain experience across different areas of the Bank and develop a broader understanding of the financial services environment.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have completed a SAICA accredited postgraduate qualification, such as an Honours Degree or Certificate in Theory of Accounting CTA.
Behavioural Competencies
The successful candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Applicants should be deadline orientated and demonstrate excellent numerical and data interpretation skills.
Strong ethical conduct is essential for the role, together with the ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
Candidates should demonstrate a high performance orientation, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to their responsibilities.
The successful candidate should also take ownership of their personal and professional development and be committed to growing throughout the SAICA training programme.
