Articles Clerk: School of Accounting | SAICA Training Programme 2026 Telkom is offering an opportunity for an Articles Clerk: School of Accounting to gain practical financial experience while completing the prescribed SAICA three-year training objectives and competencies. The Articles Clerk will receive structured exposure across several areas of finance, including Technical Accounting, Statutory Accounting and Reporting, Internal Audit, Treasury, Taxation and Business Planning. The programme also provides opportunities to gain exposure to other business units, participate in leadership and communication development initiatives, attend SAICA workshops and receive practical workplace training aligned with the SAICA training framework. Key Responsibilities SAICA Training Programme The successful candidate will: Attend Telkom School of Accounting meetings, training sessions and workshops. Participate fully in each rotation and assigned training area. Complete SAICA reviews and assessments within the required timeframes. Demonstrate progress in academic studies. Comply with SAICA training regulations and Telkom policies and procedures. Achieve the required SAICA competencies within the allocated training period. Participate in on-the-job training to develop professional and technical competencies. Consistently work towards self-development and professional growth. Practical Financial Exposure Join Our WhatsApp Channel Here The programme will provide exposure to areas including: Financial Accounting Management Accounting Financial Management Internal Audit Corporate Governance Business Planning Taxation Treasury Statutory Accounting and Reporting Technical Accounting Interpersonal and communication skills Organisational and managerial skills Training and Development Articles Clerks will be expected to: Submit required documentation for assessment. Receive and implement feedback. Take corrective action where required. Share learning experiences. Monitor their own performance and progress against SAICA competencies. Attend and actively participate in relevant SAICA workshops. Maintain a professional work ethic and reputation. Minimum Requirements Qualification Candidates must have an NQF Level 8 qualification in Accounting, specifically: SAICA-accredited Honours Degree in Accounting; or Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Science; or Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA). The position requires a CTA/SAICA-accredited Honours Degree in Accounting or Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting Science. Experience No previous work experience is required.
