About the Programme Rohlig Grindrod is inviting applications from young South Africans who are interested in building a career in the logistics, freight forwarding and supply chain industry. The Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme offers unemployed young people the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience through a structured 12 month programme. Participants will receive on the job training and exposure to a professional freight forwarding and supply chain environment. The programme will be based at the Rohlig Grindrod Head Office in Linbro Park, Johannesburg. Who Can Apply? Applicants must have a completed Matric certificate with at least 50% in English and Mathematics. Candidates must be South African citizens and must be 35 years old or younger, in line with the requirements of the YES Programme. Applicants must currently be unemployed and must not have previously completed a YES Programme. Skills and Attributes The ideal candidate should have a strong customer service orientation and be comfortable working in a demanding customer environment. Good problem solving and decision making skills will be beneficial, along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively within a team, contribute towards team objectives and adapt to a constantly changing working environment. Training and Development Successful candidates will receive on the job training and gain practical workplace exposure within the freight forwarding and supply chain environment.
