What You'll Be Doing Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Dispensing prescription medication accurately and efficiently. Reviewing prescriptions to ensure safe and appropriate treatment. Providing professional advice on medication usage, side effects and drug interactions. Supporting patients with chronic medication management and treatment adherence. Assisting customers with over-the-counter healthcare products and pharmacist-initiated treatments. Supervising pharmacist assistants and interns during dispensing activities. Ensuring all pharmacy records and prescriptions are processed accurately. Managing medical aid claims and obtaining authorisations where required. Monitoring medicine stock levels and reporting shortages. Supporting stock control, inventory counts and regulatory record keeping. Promoting responsible medicine use and improving community health outcomes. Ensuring the pharmacy complies with SAPC regulations and Good Pharmacy Practice standards. Who Should Apply? Minimum Requirements To be considered, applicants should have: Grade 12 (Matric). Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent qualification. Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). Between two and three years of pharmaceutical experience. Previous retail pharmacy experience, including internship or community service exposure. Computer literacy with Microsoft Office. Added Advantage Candidates with the following experience may have an advantage: Retail or FMCG exposure. SAP or Unisolv knowledge. Electronic prescription (e-scripting) experience. Registered Tutor status. Ability to communicate in an additional South African language.
