About the Internship
OUTsurance is offering a 12 month Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Internship for an unemployed graduate who is passionate about Occupational Health and Safety and looking to gain practical workplace experience.
The internship is a structured work based programme designed to give graduates the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they have gained through their studies while developing practical experience that can support their future career.
The successful intern will join the Risk and Compliance department and support the existing Occupational Health and Safety Team with various day to day activities.

Responsibilities
The successful intern will provide support to the Occupational Health and Safety Team with day to day activities within the Risk and Compliance department.
The role will provide practical workplace exposure and an opportunity to apply Occupational Health and Safety knowledge in a professional working environment.
The intern will be expected to work professionally, meet deadlines, organise tasks effectively and contribute positively to the team.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have completed Matric or an equivalent qualification.
Candidates must have a Diploma or qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Computer literacy is required, with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
No previous work experience is required for this internship.
Skills and Competencies
Applicants should have a genuine passion for Occupational Health and Safety and strong interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate should be able to build and maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with others.
The ability to take initiative and engage professionally is important.
Candidates should be able to plan and organise tasks and projects methodically while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
The ability to adapt and respond positively to change is required.
Applicants should also be able to multitask, work under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively.
Confidentiality is essential in this role.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and supporting regulations is required.
INSETA Internship Eligibility
To qualify for the INSETA Internship Programme, applicants must be South African citizens.
Candidates must not have previously participated in an internship with INSETA.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
Candidates must have been unemployed for the last 2 months.

Internship Information
