About the Internship OUTsurance is offering an exciting Claims Internship opportunity for an unemployed graduate looking to gain practical experience in the insurance industry. The internship is a structured work based programme designed to provide graduates with valuable workplace experience within the Claims Contact Centre. Successful applicants will enter into a 12 month fixed term Internship Agreement with OUTsurance. This is an internship agreement and not an employment contract, and successful candidates will receive a stipend. The ideal candidate should be motivated, organised, detail oriented and passionate about working with people and delivering excellent customer service in a deadline driven environment. What You Will Do The successful intern will support Claims Advisors with their day to day administrative activities. The role will include assisting with the payment of invoices, communicating and liaising with various stakeholders, performing general office administration, capturing claims and assisting with the administration and finalisation of claims. This opportunity will allow the intern to gain practical exposure to claims administration and customer service within a leading insurance environment. Minimum Requirements Applicants must have completed Matric or an equivalent qualification. Candidates must have completed a Diploma or Degree in Administration or a related field. Computer literacy is essential, and applicants must have experience using Microsoft Excel. Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate should have excellent administrative and organisational skills, together with strong verbal and written communication abilities. Applicants should be self disciplined, self motivated and able to take ownership and responsibility for their work. Strong problem solving skills and initiative are important, as well as the ability to work towards deadlines and achieve results. Attention to detail is essential when dealing with claims, records and administrative processes. Candidates should also have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent service. INSETA Internship Eligibility To qualify for the INSETA Internship Programme, applicants must be South African citizens. Applicants must not have previously participated in an internship with INSETA. Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 35. Applicants must have been unemployed for the last 2 months.
