Old Mutual is seeking an ambitious and purpose-driven candidate to join its Group Social Investments portfolio as a Marketing Intern for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Johannesburg. This internship offers hands-on exposure to purpose-led corporate social investment (CSI) programmes that make a meaningful, sustainable impact in South African communities. You will contribute directly to marketing campaigns, event coordination, stakeholder engagement, administrative governance, and social impact reporting while gaining mentorship inside a leading financial services organization. Learning Opportunities & Key Responsibilities As a Marketing Intern, your daily operational scope will include: Campaign & Social Media Support: Assisting with social media content scheduling, monitoring online platforms, and tracking overall campaign engagement metrics. Event Coordination: Supporting end-to-end event planning logistics, administrative details, and practical execution for community and stakeholder events. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintaining comprehensive stakeholder databases, coordinating meeting logistics, and managing clear, professional communications. Marketing Content & Collateral: Coordinating marketing assets and producing practical content for social investment initiatives. Procurement & Administration: Assisting with procurement processes, invoice processing, meeting documentation, and day-to-day operational support. Tracking & Reporting: Maintaining accurate programme records and compiling portfolio and campaign reporting datasets. Minimum Entry Requirements To qualify for consideration, candidates must meet all of the following criteria: Educational Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Marketing Communications Public Relations (PR) Business Management Event Management Or a closely related commercial field. Experience & Attributes Advantageous Exposure: Previous work, volunteer, leadership, or community involvement experience is highly advantageous. Software & Tools: Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic social media management tools.
