About the Programme Nedbank's Quants Exploration Programme 2026 is designed to develop talented individuals into world-class Quantitative Analysts while contributing to the development and maintenance of best-practice models and assessment strategies that support effective risk management. Participants will work with business teams, analyse data, contribute to models and processes, and develop an understanding of how quantitative and analytical concepts can be applied to real-world business and risk challenges. Key Responsibilities Successful candidates will be expected to: Identify opportunities to improve business processes, models and systems. Recommend effective ways of working that add value to Nedbank. Participate proactively in the Nedbank Quants Training Programme. Contribute to programme committees and structures, which may include marketing, recruitment and social committees. Participate in programme activities that support personal and professional development. Engage with and assist business teams through face-to-face interactions and participation in relevant forums and committees. Assist with business queries by extracting and analysing data. Document processes and models to support continuity and knowledge sharing. Use data analysis and monitoring to support compliance with relevant policies. Build an understanding of business processes by connecting operational and analytical concepts. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels. Identify opportunities for personal development and career progression. Stay informed about developments and trends within the quantitative field. Minimum Qualification Applicants must have an: Undergraduate Degree Preferred Qualifications Preference may be given to candidates with a relevant postgraduate qualification, including: Postgraduate Degree Honours Degree Master's Degree Relevant majors or fields of study include: Pure Mathematics Applied Mathematics Statistics Engineering Econometrics Financial Engineering Quantitative Risk Management Similar quantitative disciplines A Business-related degree is also listed as a preferred qualification.
