About the Finance Internship

Key Responsibilities
The Finance Intern will assist with preparing financial reports, budgets and forecasts to support business decision making.
The successful candidate will conduct financial data analysis to identify trends and provide insights that can support financial planning.
The role will also involve supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring financial records are accurate and properly maintained.
During the month end close process, the intern will assist with account reconciliations and preparation of journal entries.
The successful candidate will help maintain financial databases and ensure that financial information remains accurate and reliable.
The Finance Intern may also collaborate with team members on special projects and initiatives and provide general administrative support to the finance department, including filing and organising financial documentation.
The intern will be expected to stay informed about relevant industry practices and contribute ideas that can help improve financial processes.
Requirements
Applicants should currently be pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field, or have equivalent relevant experience.
Candidates should have strong analytical skills and be comfortable working with financial data. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software is required, while familiarity with accounting systems will be an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are important for this position. Candidates should also be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.
The successful candidate should demonstrate problem solving abilities, initiative and a proactive approach to completing tasks.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Previous internship experience in finance or accounting will be advantageous.
