Program Overview Mimecast, a leading global cybersecurity and SaaS company, is inviting ambitious candidates to apply for its Finance Graduate Internship in Johannesburg. This program is structured to provide deep operational insights into the day to day financial activities of a high growth tech enterprise. As a Finance Graduate, you will work across multiple specialized functions including Accounting Operations, Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Tax, and Treasury building a well rounded foundation in corporate finance within an entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities & Rotational Exposure As part of the Finance team, your daily operational scope will include: Financial Operations Support: Assisting with Accounts Payable vendor indexing, data entry into the Risk Management Information System (RMIS), and maintaining electronic filing accuracy. Rotational Engagement: Gaining hands on exposure across Tax, Treasury, Payroll, General Accounting, and Financial Operations under direct management supervision. Data Analysis & Research: Conducting financial research, performing data analysis, and assisting in the processing of routine management reports. Documentation & Presentations: Drafting business documentation, preparing presentation decks, and communicating findings to department managers and team members. Ad-hoc Projects: Supporting departmental stakeholder activities and operational projects as assigned. Minimum Entry Requirements To qualify for consideration, candidates must meet all of the following criteria: Educational Qualifications Completed at least 1–2 years towards an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related commercial field (or recent graduates). Technical & Soft Skills Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
