About the Opportunity Mediclinic Southern Africa is offering a developmental opportunity for a Management Intern at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre in Parktown, Johannesburg. This opportunity is designed to help students gain practical workplace experience while developing their academic, professional and personal skills. The internship allows successful candidates to apply knowledge gained through their studies within a professional healthcare environment. The programme is particularly suited to students completing TVET work integrated learning who need practical workplace exposure as part of their qualification. Main Purpose of the Internship The main purpose of the internship is to provide structured workplace experience that complements the intern's academic studies. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to integrate classroom knowledge with practical competencies gained through working in a professional organisation. The role will also support the development of professional standards, personal effectiveness, communication and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities The intern will complete the requirements associated with their TVET Work Integrated Learning programme, according to the requirements of their specific qualification. The role will provide opportunities to develop personal effectiveness and professional workplace skills. The intern will be expected to continuously learn within their chosen field of study and maintain professional standards while working in accordance with Mediclinic's organisational values. The successful candidate will also contribute to maintaining positive stakeholder relationships and delivering professional client service. Required Qualifications Applicants must have a relevant N6 tertiary qualification obtained from an accredited TVET institution. Relevant fields of study include Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Management Assistant and Secretarial studies. Experience Required No previous work experience is required. This makes the opportunity suitable for students who are looking to gain their first practical workplace experience as part of their tertiary studies. Skills and Knowledge Applicants should have basic computer literacy and be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications. Good written and verbal English communication skills are required. Candidates should also understand and be able to apply appropriate telephone etiquette when communicating with stakeholders and clients.
