Bidvest Tank Terminals (BTT) is inviting applications from eligible students seeking workplace experience to complete their Mechanical Engineering Diploma. The opportunity is based at the company's Durban site in KwaZulu-Natal and offers practical exposure to plant operations, maintenance activities and real business projects. The successful candidate will participate in an 18-month experiential learning programme commencing in December 2026. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements: Be a South African citizen with a valid South African identity document. Be between 17 and 30 years old. Have successfully completed all theoretical requirements for a Mechanical Engineering Diploma. Be willing and able to work in a chemical plant environment. Require workplace experiential learning to complete their qualification. Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: Undertake practical experiential learning at the BTT plant and in office environments. Participate in and execute real business projects. Complete a Portfolio of Evidence in support of the qualification. Gain practical workplace experience relevant to Mechanical Engineering.
