Bidvest Facilities Management is looking for a motivated and driven Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join its operations team in Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assist with:
Maintaining and optimising mechanical systems and equipment across various sites.
Supporting engineering teams with planned maintenance activities.
Assisting with breakdown investigations and root cause analysis.
Participating in engineering project planning, implementation and monitoring.
Conducting site inspections.
Ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations and statutory requirements.
Preparing technical reports, maintenance schedules and engineering documentation.
Supporting energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Liaising with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders on engineering-related matters.
Monitoring equipment performance and identifying operational risks or defects.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
Supporting asset management and lifecycle planning activities.
Participating in client meetings and providing technical support where required.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and project updates.
Continuously developing technical knowledge and practical engineering skills through on-site exposure and mentorship.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specifically:
BSc Mechanical Engineering
0–2 years of experience.
Graduate, internship or relevant academic experience will be considered.
A foundational understanding of ESG principles and sustainability concepts.
