The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) is the public entity responsible for regulating the electronic communications, broadcasting, and postal industries in South Africa, mandated under the ICASA Act No. 13 of 2000 and the Electronic Communications Act No. 36 of 2005. About the Programme
The ICASA Graduate Development Programme is a 24-month intensive programme commencing in 2026, giving qualified graduates the opportunity to gain valuable practical work experience and theoretical training while earning a salary. This placement sits within Regions and Consumer Affairs, based in the Free State, and is aimed at building a strong foundation for a career in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.
Graduates are supported by a structured coaching system throughout the programme, with ongoing performance reviews, continuous assistance, and career guidance. Graduate intake numbers are influenced by both the South African skills market and ICASA's specific organisational skills needs.
Please note: Successful candidates will be based in Gauteng for the first month of the programme, then relocate to the Free State for the remaining 23 months. Accommodation costs will not be covered by ICASA.
Minimum Requirements
Must be a South African citizen
Must have completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, or Information) from a recognised institution of higher learning
Proficient in MS Office
