CSIR MICT SETA Internship Programme
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), in partnership with MICT SETA, is offering one year internship opportunities for graduates who are looking to gain practical workplace experience and develop their professional skills.
The internship programme is designed to give graduates an opportunity to apply the knowledge gained through their studies in a real working environment while receiving mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals.
The CSIR is a leading scientific and technology research organisation that conducts research, develops and localises technologies, and supports industrial development and socio economic prosperity in South Africa.

Internship Opportunities
The internship opportunities are available to graduates in the following science, engineering and technology fields:
Information Technology
Computer Science and Computer Engineering
Software Engineering
Successful interns will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in their respective fields and apply their academic knowledge within a professional research and technology environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be South African citizens.
Applicants must have completed a qualification at National Diploma, Degree or equivalent level as a minimum requirement.
The qualification must be in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field specified for the internship programme.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the required supporting documents with their applications.
A copy of the applicant's identity document must be provided.
Applicants must submit a complete and up to date resume.
Proof that the qualification has been completed must be included. This can be a qualification certificate or an official completion letter.
Applicants must also provide a learner affidavit confirming that they are not currently enrolled in an MICT SETA funded programme or any other SETA funded programme.
Failure to attach the required documents may result in the application being disqualified.
Internship Development
The CSIR MICT SETA Internship provides graduates with an opportunity to transition from academic learning into the professional workplace.
Interns will be able to apply their academic knowledge in a practical environment while gaining exposure to professional workplace practices and learning from experienced professionals through mentorship.
The experience can help graduates strengthen their technical abilities, workplace skills and overall employability.
