This opportunity is designed for aspiring legal professionals who want to gain practical legal experience, explore specialised areas of law and learn from experienced lawyers at an international law firm. The programme offers students the opportunity to experience the firm's working environment, participate in research, observe legal matters, assist with drafting responses and advice, and engage with Associates and Partners. Participants will also have opportunities to attend seminars, networking sessions and professional events. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following criteria: Be a penultimate-year or final-year law student. Have an overall academic average of at least 70%. Be studying towards a BA Law, BCom Law, LLB or LLM qualification. Have permanent South African citizenship or residency. Be available to attend the programme in person at the selected office. Applications are welcome from students interested in either the Johannesburg or Cape Town office, provided they can attend the programme in person. What the Programme Offers Successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain insight into the daily work of legal professionals and the operations of a specialised legal practice. Participants can expect to experience the firm's working environment from day one, receive training and support from legal professionals and the Human Resources team, and gain exposure to practical legal work. The programme may include observing cases, conducting legal research, assisting with drafting responses and advice, attending significant meetings and negotiations, and learning how lawyers deliver legal services to clients across the firm's core practice areas. Students will also have opportunities to participate in seminars, networking events and social activities with colleagues and clients.
