Audit Centre of Excellence (CoE) Available in: Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town The Audit Centre of Excellence offers trainees the opportunity to gain experience working with clients across a wide range of industries, including: Banking Insurance Entertainment Manufacturing Mining Other sectors Trainees will work with clients ranging from large listed companies to small privately owned businesses. Key Responsibilities As part of the Audit CoE team, you will: Conduct audit work for clients across Africa. Work both remotely and from the office. Collaborate with audit teams and other PwC lines of service. Participate in secondments to audit teams for three to four months each year. Engage with clients through virtual meetings, emails and digital systems. Interact with clients in person during secondments. Work closely with a CoE manager and a team of three or four people each month. Develop and complete the required competencies for SAICA purposes. The Audit CoE operates as a virtual team, providing flexibility to work remotely and from the office, while secondments provide opportunities for direct client interaction and broader audit exposure. 2. Independent Review Centre of Excellence (IR CoE) Available in: Johannesburg The Independent Review Centre of Excellence offers a three-year training contract designed to provide trainees with the experience and competencies required for SAICA sign-off. Trainees will work within a supportive team environment and gain exposure to clients operating across various industries and business environments. Key Features Three-year training contract. Occasional travel to client premises may be required. The IR CoE team is based at the Waterfall office and consists of experienced professionals and trainees who work together in a collaborative environment. 3. Virtual Financial Services Remote Team Member Programme (VFS) Available in: Gqeberha, Johannesburg and Cape Town The Virtual Financial Services (VFS) programme provides aspiring CAs with the opportunity to develop specialist audit experience within the financial services industry. The programme is designed to support trainees in achieving their CA(SA) qualification within three years. Team Structure and Working Environment The VFS team operates virtually with employees based across South Africa. Trainees are based at the Gqeberha, Western Cape or Waterfall offices. The team works remotely while attending the office twice a week, typically on Mondays and Thursdays. Trainees may also visit client sites when required. The team provides specialist services to engagement teams to support the completion of audits. Financial Services Exposure The VFS team specialises in financial services clients, including: Retirement funds Medical schemes Insurance Asset and wealth management Day-to-Day Activities Trainees will: Work in a combination of virtual and in-person environments. Conduct audits using technology and digital platforms. Connect with engagement teams, administrators and audit clients remotely. Provide specialist support to audit engagement teams. Gain exposure to the financial services sector and its unique audit requirements. Requirements Applicants must: Have completed their undergraduate degree in record time. Be in their first attempt of CTA/PGDA, or have successfully passed CTA/PGDA. Be willing to complete a three-year employment contract for SAICA articles. Be willing to train within one of the following programmes: Audit Centre of Excellence (CoE) Independent Review Centre of Excellence (IR CoE) Virtual Financial Services Remote Team Member Programme (VFS) If CTA is failed, be willing to repeat and complete the qualification through distance learning while working through the first year of articles.
