Broad Media is expanding its editorial team and offers an exciting opportunity for ambitious graduates eager to build a career in digital media.
As a Journalism Intern, you will receive first-class, hands-on training to cover breaking news, write engaging feature articles, and sub-edit digital content for publication across South Africa's top online news platforms.
This is a full-time, paid 3-month internship program based at Broad Media's head office in Centurion. Graduates who excel during the 3-month period may be offered a permanent journalist position with the company.
No Journalism Degree Required: Broad Media welcomes applications from graduates of all academic backgrounds who possess superior written English skills and a passion for news media.
What You Will Do
During the 3-month program, you will learn to:
Track, research, and report on the latest breaking news across technology, business, and current affairs.
Draft, write, and polish high-quality digital articles and feature stories.
Sub-edit editorial content to maintain high editorial accuracy and readability.
Optimize online content for digital audiences and search engines (SEO).
Collaborate with senior editors and journalists in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for consideration, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education: A completed University Degree in any field of study (Journalism, Communications, English, Law, Business, Humanities, Science, etc.).
Language Skills: English as a first language with exceptional English writing ability and sharp grammar/punctuation skills.
Location: Ability to work full-time on-site at Broad Media's offices in Centurion.
Mindset: Strong research capacity, high curiosity, and eagerness to thrive in digital news reporting.
