This bursary is aimed at students who are committed to becoming Chartered Accountants (CA(SA)) and who are studying, or intend to study, an appropriate SAICA-accredited degree at a SAICA-accredited university. Applicants should demonstrate strong academic performance, good communication skills and a clear commitment to pursuing the CA(SA) qualification. Minimum Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements: Academic Requirements Applicants must: Intend to become a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)). Be studying an appropriate SAICA-accredited degree or intend to study an appropriate SAICA-accredited degree at a SAICA-accredited university. Have completed Grade 12 with matric exemption. Have university acceptance. Have achieved a B symbol for Mathematics as a matric subject. Have achieved a B symbol for English as a matric subject. Have achieved an overall average of 75% for all Grade 12 subjects. University Academic Requirements Applicants must meet the applicable university academic performance requirements: First and second year university students: Minimum overall average of 70%. Third and fourth year undergraduate students: Minimum overall average of 65%. Applicants must also demonstrate: Proficiency in English. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A genuine intention to pursue the CA(SA) qualification. Citizenship Requirements Applicants must: Be a South African citizen, or Hold permanent residency in South Africa. Important Requirement Applicants who do not meet the minimum requirements should not apply. The bursary is not intended for students who need to complete a Bridging Course in order to qualify for the appropriate postgraduate studies required for the CA(SA) pathway.
