Role Purpose We are seeking a Junior Risk Analyst who is passionate about understanding how financial and operational performance translate into meaningful risk insights and strategic decision-making. The Junior Risk Analyst will support the analysis and interpretation of financial and operational data within a risk context, contributing to structured risk insights and scenario thinking that informs management decisions. This role bridges the gap between business performance and strategic risk insight, helping translate data into meaningful perspectives for decision-making. Key Responsibilities 1. Risk Analysis & Insight Development Analyse operational and financial data to identify key risk drivers and trends Support the development of risk insights for management discussions Translate business performance into structured risk perspectives Link financial and operational information to enterprise risk considerations 2. Scenario Thinking & Strategic Support Assist in developing scenario analyses (market, macroeconomic, climate, operational) Assess potential impacts of scenarios on business performance and risk exposure Contribute to forward-looking risk and uncertainty analysis Support strategic risk discussions and governance inputs 3. Risk Management Support Assist with risk identification, assessment, and reporting processes Contribute to reports for management, Risk Committee, and Board Support consolidation of enterprise risk information Assist with broader Risk Management activities Minimum Requirements Relevant qualification in: BCom (Finance / Economics / Risk Management) CIMA (completed or in progress)or related field Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience Strong demonstrated interest in financial analysis and business performance Basic understanding of risk management principles (advantageous) Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Key Competencies Strong analytical and numerical reasoning skills Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights Curiosity about business drivers and their impact on risk Structured thinking and strong attention to detail Clear communication and presentation skills Ability to collaborate across Risk, Finance, and Business teams Ideal Profile We are looking for someone who: Has a strong interest in numbers and business performance Wants exposure to enterprise-level risk management Is comfortable working with uncertainty and forward-thinking analysis Can bridge the gap between financial data and strategic risk insight Why Join VKB Risk Management?
