About the Bursary Glencore South Africa (Alloys Division), one of the world's leading diversified mining companies, is inviting applications for its 2027 Bursary Programme. This bursary is aimed at academically strong South African students who are passionate about building careers in mining, engineering, science, healthcare, business, and technology-related fields. Fields of Study Applications are invited from students pursuing or intending to study the following qualifications: Rock Engineering Analytical Chemistry Occupational Hygiene Industrial Psychology Human Resources Management Informatics Nursing Who Can Apply? Applications are open to: Grade 12 learners planning to study one of the approved qualifications Current university students already enrolled in one of the listed fields Applicants who achieved at least **70% in English** South African students who demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership potential Selection will be based on academic results and an interview with the Glencore Alloys Bursary Committee. Students already receiving another major industry bursary are generally not eligible to hold both awards simultaneously. What the Bursary Covers Successful applicants may receive funding for: Full registration and tuition fees Residence accommodation fees Meals (where applicable) Prescribed textbooks Financial assistance towards the purchase of a personal computer where required by the university This comprehensive funding package is designed to reduce the financial burden on students and allow them to focus on their studies.
